Western Partner Dancing is done around the outside of the room, while line dancers dance in a group in the middle. There is often a line dance and a partner dance choreographed to the same music so they can be done at the same time. Mike and his dancing partner, Mel, teach partner dances. These dances originate from a lot of influences, so you may recognise waltz, cha cha, rumba, latin steps and beats. They are less formal than traditional ballroom, however, and our members have a lot of fun. See below for film clip and photos which help you build an idea of what it is like.
